Vidicode UK Apresa Call Recorder: Compatibility Guide 

The Vidicode UK Apresa Call Recorder is compatible with all major phone systems including NEC, Shoretel, Mitel MiVoice, MS Teams, Avaya, Cisco, 3CX, WILDIX, Ring Central and Unify. 

Recording telephone calls, radio or other audio is crucial to business, compliance or security strategy. In some cases, it is mandated as part of regulatory compliance. In other cases, it may be used for reference, training, quality management or security reasons, but it should work reliably in all cases.  

Each organisation will have their reasons for recording telephone calls. The Vidicode Apresa system provides a reliable and future-proof call recording platform in a cost-effective package. At Vidicode, we believe that customers should not be confronted with additional costs for “extra features”. This is why Apresa was developed with essential benefits and features as standard that other call recording vendors would charge £thousands for.  

The Apresa is highly scalable and the ideal recording solution for trunk or extension recording of SIP/VoIP, ISDN II, E1/T1 (ISDN 30), TDM, Analogue and Audio (e.g. radio) communication in many environments, including Teams, Azure and AWS. 

Do you have a hosted PBX or use hosted VoIP or SIP extensions in your business?  

The Apresa voice recording solution enables you to record calls on either SIP trunks or IP extensions from hosted providers such as 3CX  and WILDIX to comply with FCA, MiFID / MiFID II and PCI DSS (Payment card) regulations. 

Do you have an Avaya or Unify PBX? 

The Apresa voice recorder will work in Active or Passive mode for IP phone systems. In Active mode, the Apresa records calls without needing port mirroring by using CSTA or Dual Media Streams, meaning that there are no concerns about the effects of port mirroring on network bandwidth. 

Do you have Microsoft Lync / MS Teams? 

The Apresa voice recording platform is one of a very small number of recorders that can record the proprietary RT Audio protocol from Microsoft Lync. We can record RT Audio and the PC screen activity during an audio or conference call, making it the ideal solution for any business that uses MS Lync. 
Apresa also records Microsoft Teams calls securely and compliantly within Azure, enabling users to record Teams to Teams calls, screens and webcam activity. 

Apresa supports IP Protocols / Codecs and Installation Environments.

Call Recorder Apresa Software Only

Vidicode UK supplies base software and licenses and (if needed) recording cards for local installation. The Software-only solution allows you to install the Apresa recorder on a virtual machine or other preferred locally sourced hardware. Recording cards for TDM digital, E1/T1 or Analogue can be shipped, and the software can be downloaded. Installing the software on the desired system is straightforward and includes the Linux OS. 

Call Recorder Apresa Compact Line

Vidicode UK supplies a small form factor server with all the needed hardware. 

The Apresa Compact-Line is the perfect solution for smaller applications up to 10 VoIP or 8 TDM digital or 8 analogue lines. It is supplied as a ready-to-go complete system and can be set up in minutes. The Compact-Line Apresa does not include screen recording. 

Call Recorder Apresa Standard Server 

Vidicode supplied server system pre-installed with all needed hardware. The Standard Server solution can be fitted with multiple extra options like RAID1 or RAID5, Dual redundant power supply, swappable backup HDD and alarm switch for external audio or visual alarms. This standard unit can handle a mix of all inputs possible on an Apresa system.
